Spring trips run from early April to mid-May, when the water is chilly but very fast and exciting. Spring trips include Farmer John style wet suits, helmets, life jackets, paddles and booties, and are run in four, six and eight place rafts.*

On spring trips it is very important to advise everyone in your group to bring an unlined windbreaker, wool or synthetic pullover sweater and wool socks. Also, a polypropylene long underwear top is an excellent addition to your cold weather gear.

Spring trips are very popular because the die-hard rafters like to go when the water is the highest. Snow melt coupled with spring thaws usually makes April and May the best for big water. It may be chilly, but you will keep warm with the provided wet suit and the excitement.

Trips run on Saturday at 9:00 AM, 12 Noon and 3:00 PM, on Sunday at 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM, and Monday through Friday at 12 Noon.

Check-in time is one full hour before scheduled trip time.

All trips and rates are subject to change without notice. Size of raft and number of people per raft are determined on the day of the trip. We reserve the right to refuse service to any person.

All Rafters must sign a Raft Rental Agreement and Release of Liability form. Rafters under 18 years of age must also have a parent/legal guardian sign the Raft Rental Agreement and Release of Liability.

RAFTERS must be in good physical condition and unafraid of the water. Children should be 12 years of age on the Peshtigo and 16 years of age on the Menominee. In cases of changing water levels, age limits may be higher. Rafters on the Peshtigo trips should be prepared to go in the one-person funyaks. All trips and rates subject to change without notice. Although we take every precaution to make our trips safe and enjoyable, there are elements of danger in white water rafting; thus you must travel at your own risk. Rafters must sign a raft rental agreement and release of liability form. Individuals under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian also sign their form.

Starting mid-May and running through September, for beginners and intermediates, trips are run in one, two, three and four place rafts. Water conditions change daily and the actual size of the boat will be determined on the day of the your trip.*

We provide helmets, life jackets, paddles, and transportation to the put-in point on the river. We are located right on the river, so all trips end at Rapid Rafts headquarters, where rafters can change clothes and relax.

The trip covers about five miles of the most exciting white water in the entire Midwest.

We run three trips on Saturdays at 9am, 12pm, and 3:00pm, two trips per day Sunday through Friday at 10am and 1pm.

Check in time is 30 minutes before scheduled trip time.

Ask about our special group discounts offered for qualified scout, youth and church groups. Summer trips are for the entire family. This trip is the same stretch of river that our spring trip covers but the weather is much warmer and so is the water. The river level may be lower but the thrill is always there.

From Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, we offer Guided Menominee Trips for the hearty whitewater rafting enthusiast. These trips are run in our four to twelve place rafts under the supervision of Kosir's professional guides and include helmets, life jackets and paddles.

The mighty Menominee is a large volume river, which has one of the greatest flows in the Midwest, with rapids and hydraulics similar to those of great western rivers.

Bordered by the beautiful Upper Peninsula, our trip starts out quietly in the scenic surroundings of Niagara, WI careening past 200-foot high cliffs. Then increasing its intensity through Sand Portage Rapid, it culminates with a 10-foot waterfall in the legendary Piers Gorge!

Menominee trips are run at 10am and 3 p.m. on Saturdays and 10am on Sundays and Holidays. Special weekday trips are available. Please call ahead to make arrangements, reservations are required.

Check-in time at our Menominee River Outpost is one full hour before scheduled trip time.

The Menominee is a unique experience for the more adventurous whitewater rafters who want more! Kosir's Rapid Rafts Inc. only offers this trip with the supervision of our guides. We offer all Menominee trips in our self-bailing rafts! (Sorry, no Funyaks allowed on the Menominee River Trips)

Funyaks are the most popular way to experience the Peshtigo! These one-person inflatable rafts are self-bailing so you'll never need to empty out the water. You paddle these craft with a two bladed kayak paddle. They're easier to learn than the large rafts and more maneuverable, so you get to control how you want to run the rapids!
